Venue Shopping: The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

Due to our budget, we didn't actually view this space but I really wanted to. The rental fee is about $7000 for a Saturday and does not include any of the rentals (tables, chairs, dance floor, etc) although you can have access for the entire museum from 6pm-midnight.

Depending on what table you pick, it can get up to $9.25/table and $4.25/chair (white garden chairs). There are fees for the dance floor setup, security guards, standing microphone setup, coat check...etc. They have a list of vendors that you can choose from although they all look pretty nice/fancy so I'm not sure how much your food/alcohol budget would be.

They say that they do offer a bridal suite but I have not seen it.

All in all, if my budget was larger, I probably would have explored this space more. The fact that it's smack dab in Lincoln Park also deterred me since I was wondering where people would park and what "affordable" hotels are nearby.

The BEST part of this space was that holiday fees are not ridiculous like other spaces. Most other spaces charge the Saturday fees for a holiday Sunday (like Memorial Day). The Peggy Notebaert only charges slightly more than the Sunday rental fee.

They also had quick responses to my emails, which are greatly appreciated.

JR Pass

 The JR Pass is an option for non-residents of Japan to purchase. Instructions: Purchase the JR Pass before you travel to Japan (It doesn't seem like there's an "official" website as many vendors do sell it. Just do your research to make sure it's legit.
