Pashminas

What was I thinking?!

In the craziness of everything, I decided to go with two colors for the bridesmaids. What I really wanted was to get a variety of similar shades and let the bridesmaids pick out their dresses themselves but they kept pressuring me to choose something so I did.

So my bridesmaids will be alternating in these two colors: Biscotti and Petal from David's Bridal (they didn't really have the colors on their website so I tried my best to Photoshop it)

As my gift, I've been trying to find matching pashminas so that they can cover themselves if they feel self conscious or cold. It's been a horribly difficult task. I've been purchasing swatches from every store that shows up on google and none of it has been matching.

My last resort is to try this store: http://www.spencerspashmina.com

They claim to custom dye their pashminas if I send them a swatch. The problem is that I have to send it to Pakistan so it may take a while. Luckily, it was only $1.15 to mail an envelope to Pakistan so I thought I would give it a shot. You need to email them to get the address so do this early since they take a while to respond sometimes.

03/02/15 Update: I mailed them the swatches on Feb 20th and they emailed me this morning (March 3rd) saying they received them. So about 7 business days, which isn't too bad. They said they're in line for production and will email me an update.

03/13/15 Update: I received the pashminas even though I didn't get any tracking. The petal color was wonderful but as expected, the biscotti is a bit off. They are all soft and very nice.

Here's an image of the final products with the dresses. The "biscotti" pashmina was a bit more purple than the dresses but it didn't look bad so I didn't mind. In the end, it looked like my colors were light pink and purple. Ha!

I think it actually worked out that I mixed the colors. Now it looks like I intentionally had a pastel color theme. If I only had biscotti dresses and all the pashminas turned out purple, I think I would have been more upset that my beige theme turned purple.
